TCOCF Mobile Family Pantry Program
In an expansion of The Cost of Courage Foundation's existing Family Pantry program that launched in 2018 with brick-and-mortar pantries at military bases throughout Northern California, we now sponsor
The Cost of Courage Foundation Mobile Family Pantry!
The Cost of Courage Foundation Mobile Family Pantry program provides bags of essential, non-perishable, grocery and personal care items to Veterans, Military Service Members, First Responders, and Gold Star Spouses, Children, and Siblings in our local community who are struggling with food insecurity. These bags are provided at no-cost to recipients!
On a monthly basis, The Cost of Courage Foundation hosts distribution events at venues throughout Northern California.

In an effort to make The Cost of Courage Foundation Mobile Family Pantry available to as many local Veterans, Military Service Members, and Gold Star Families as possible, we welcome any opportunities to host a packing or distribution event at your location. Volunteer opportunities include the following: - Packing grocery bags prior to distribution events - Distributing grocery bags during distribution events To volunteer, please contact Kelly Estes at kelly@thecostofcouragefoundation.org. ** We are happy to sign documentation for any verified volunteer hours served by students ** |
Who is Eligible? The Cost of Courage Foundation Mobile Family Pantry Program is available exclusively to Veterans of the United States Military, current United States Military Service Members, First Responders, and Gold Star Spouses, Children, and Siblings who are struggling with food insecurity. Through this program, we provide short-term assistance through grocery distribution, but our events also provide long-term resources through information and access to mental health counseling, financial advisors, and employment connections. Participation is limited to 3 times per year, per registrant. Participation will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled for the distribution event every month. If all slots are filled, you will be added to the waiting list for the current month or be guaranteed a spot during the next distribution. ** A valid Military ID, DD-214, DD-1300, or alternative proof of service must be presented upon registration and during distribution. ** How Do I Register? All eligible participants must register for the program and upcoming distribution events by completing the Mobile Family Pantry Program Registration Card below (scroll to the bottom of this page). Our volunteer staff are ready to assist with any questions you may have. If you require assistance, please e-mail kelly@thecostofcouragefoundation.org. All registered participants will receive communications regarding our next distribution event and will be able to RSVP for remaining slots. RSVP's are required to reserve your bag of groceries. Since there are a limited number of grocery bags available, we will be unable to distribute a bag to those who fail to register and RSVP. How Can I Donate?
