Annual Laser Eye Surgery Donation for Veterans
As of 2019, The Cost of Courage Foundation is no longer offering the Gift of Sight Program. Congratulations to all of our past recipients!
2018 Gift of Sight Recipients
For the fourth consecutive year, The Cost of Courage Foundation partnered with Furlong Vision Correction to offer no-cost Laser Eye Surgery to 6 homeless/disadvantaged local Veterans as part of the annual Gift of Sight Program! This donation of over $30,000 worth of LASIK is truly life-changing for our Veteran recipients. To date, 24 Veterans have received the no-cost surgery amounting to over $160,000! Following their surgery, those Veterans have been able to obtain and maintain gainful employment and, in several cases, complete their education now that vision troubles no longer limit their abilities. We are so honored to have been able to connect such deserving Veterans with this opportunity and wish them all the very best for their future!
